1) A mother’s love is the most important ingredient in the growth of a child.
2) Teach your children the meaning of these 3 words: sharing, caring, and cooperation.
3) Praise in public, and correct in private.
4) A child can never have too many hugs and kisses.
5) Positive reinforcement is the best way to earn your child’s respect.
6) Negative behaviour is usually a result of negative attention.
7) No matter the age, children are never too old for a cuddle.
8) Support your child no matter their interests.
9) A mother’s heart is always capable of loving more children.
10) Lead by example, because your children are always watching and learning from what you say and do.
3 Generations – the one who made me a mom, and the one who taught me how to be a mom |
I have been raised by the most loving, caring mother in the world, and for that I’m am truly thankful. And to all the ladies I know who have the hardest, most important, and most rewarding job in the world, I wish you a special day today, and hope that you take the time to celebrate the fabulous person that is YOU! Happy Mother’s Day!

I love that 3 generations photo of you guys. Your daughter looks like a little cutie-pie and is so happy – and the two of you look so lovely! You are very lucky to have your mom in your life. I loved your list – especially “never too old for a cuddle’ (so true!) and “a mother’s love is the most important ingredient in the growth of a child.” Well said!
I love #3. Very true. Actually, the whole list is wonderful. Your mama is one smart woman.
Lovely picture of you three beauties.
What a great picture and a great list. Wonderful advice in that list!
This is such a beautiful list, I love it! A mother’s love is SO important along with cuddles, praise and acceptance. So good and lovely picture as well. Hope you had a great Mother’s Day today!
What a nice tibute to your mother. Love the picture of the three of you
These are so important and I fall short on many, too often! What a wonderful lady your mom is!
Happy Mother’s day to you both!
Yes to all the things Motherhood has taught you and me! Beautiful pic of you, your Mom and your daughter.
#9 is my favorite! So true!!
Beautiful. I love #8 and 9. I always wished I had more support when I wanted to try something different and I try to always be that support for my children. This year, my son wanted to play lacrosse. I know nothing about the game but I’m so glad he has played! Supporting them in different interests is so rewarding!

Happy Mother’s Day! These are great tips for moms to live by. I especially like Praise in public, correct in private. Sometimes, I break this rule. I think I need to remember this more often. Thanks for the reminder!
Love #3 and #6!

What a great picture. Hope you had a wonderful day. We who had great mothers (not perfect) are so very blessed.
How funny, our posts seem quite similar! I guess we both were blessed with fabulous mothers!
I love praise in public, but correct in private—so true. Humiliation is never okay. I love what a tribute this is to your mom and your son. Erin
